Palit
Palit is the youngest place on the island of Rab . It was created with the expanding of city Rab – as the population grew. This place is situated over the bay of St . Euphemia and it practically continues the town . Between them is only beautiful Komrčar park, connected by a beautiful promenade. This promenade extends throughout the Palit and continues all the way to the bay neighboring village Kampor, passing the Franciscan monastery of St . Bernardin from the 15th century. It is often called the Monastery of St . Euphemia , the old little church with which it was created . The monastery is an ethnographic museum and gallery .
The youngest place on the island of Rab, is an excellent choice for spending vacation in, due to its central position on eqaul distance from the beach, store i public transport. Nearby beaches Škver and Frkanj are well known and equally favourite between local people and tourists, too.
Above the park Komrčar, Palit merged with the neighboring village of Banjol. With the construction of the new business and shopping districts, Palit has become the favorite shopping destination to islanders , and their guests.
Palit is primarily a tourist destination . Located in the central part of the island , is a great location from which you can easily explore the beauty and attractions in the northern part of the island in Lopar and Barbat or south, Banjol and Barbat . The old town center of Rab is just a short walk through the park Komrčar. It is an ideal place for visitors who want to discover the rich cultural and historical heritage of this ancient city, but also for those who just want to walk the streets remain in the evenings or find have fun in bars, cocktail bars and nightclubs.
If you are a noudism fan and FKK, this place is very close to one of the oldest noudist beaches on Adriatic, situated in the bay Kandarola.
