Kampor
Kampor is a small place located on the island of Rab, as well as one of the few places that preserved the aspect of an old fishing place, neatly fitted into the forrest “Dundo“. With lots of beautiful beaches, sunsets, walking, hiking and biking trails, it represents the combination of tradition and modern.
One of the oldest book stores with rich collection of written Croatian works on this part of Adriatic is stored here, which was collected by fra Ambroz Testen during his stay in franciscan monastery of st. Euphemia, today known as etnographic museum.
During summer, like any other Dalmatian town, this place also organizes various festivities such as fishing nights, folklore evenings and countless others. Sports and active vacation fans can enjoy football, volleyball, basketball, hiking, cycling, fishing, diving, sailing and numerous other activities. If you would like to get acquainted with the gastronomy of the island of Rab, as well as savor the specialties of Kampor, visit the restaurants “Eufemija” and “Punta”.
Local festivals are held on Easter Monday, as well as holiday of St. Eufemia on the 16th of September.
